That's what I would do...just do a good job of prep and you can change colors down the road easily.

LOL.... I've just been extra busy! But, Yes, driving the Jeep a lot more, too! Knock on wood... No more problems, atleast so far!! And, I have put much more than 100 miles on it! Yay! :-) I need to try putting the soft top on tomorrow, though. Mornings have been COLD!

I've owned Jeeps since before they were cool and have decided a Bikini top for summer and a hard top for winter. Soft tops are leaky and noisy. Can't have a conversation in a soft top. Any way that's where I'm at.

ENJOY!

Well- Hello, again! It's almost time to start working on this year's projects!!!! Paint, front sport roll cage... Get the fuel & temp gages working again... Maybe make some doors... Hmmm. What else?!

I have to say, this 'no-winter'... Winter has been great! I drove the Jeep 3 or 4 days over my Christmas vacation!!! Bikini top & no doors.... I've been loving the weather! I hope all of you are doing well. I look forward to seeing any suggestions for spring mods/ projects!

I'm thinking about selling my toy... I just don't have as much time as I'd like for her. If I do, how much should I ask for? Any ideas?

I've looked through your work and it's "on-par". Not really sure about your area of the country as far as value, but if you put that up around my neck of the woods, you could probably see the low side of $11k. I hope I'm not hurting any feelings with that $ amount. Around here, rust isn't an issue unless it's been imported from a more humid state, so expectations are pretty high for drivetrains and chassis. I have seen a CJ or two on ebay from NC/SC areas and some are unbelievely in need of some restoration and POR15! Good luck with your sale, what are you future plans?

I haven't really decided on any future plans... But, I'm thinking about selling the CJ5 & trading my 08 Tahoe in on a 4 door Unlimited Rubicon. Best of both worlds, right?! I would be happy with $11k- that doesn't hurt my feelings! (I paid $4k for her...)
Right now, I'm just so busy between school & work... I can't see straight. Since, Jan. I've been to Reno, Channel Islands, DC, Tucson, back to DC... & soon I'll add a few more locations (& of course DC!). Anyway, it's a great Jeep- not perfect... But I've done a lot! The credit union valued it at just over $11k, too... By the way!
