Its the passenger side. As far as I know its 2 piece. How do I tell if it the wide type? 75% of my driving is on road. Should I go with the one piece? Do I need to replace both, either way? Who makes the best axel?

Moser axles,

I have used them in everyone of my jeeps and have never broken one, and they are made in the USA.

If it's an 86 than its a wide track they went to the wide track axles I believe in 82. Are you sure it's an amc 20 because everyone of the 86's I've seen came with a Dana 44 under them from the factory?
