I hate RUST- Fixin tub

OK, just to show the progress on my tub fixin here's the link http://catronics.us the later dates have more up to date pics. I also want to say a special thanks to Fatman and JagerLager for their inspiration, motivation and excellent suggestions. Dudes without your threads I wouldn't even be this far along. Also all the other guys on the forum and their excellent advise. The pics speak for themselves, the patch welding continues
tomorrow

Keep up the good work slick. I'm watching your progress and trying to get up the nerve to start on mine. We've got rust in the same places. BTW, who is that in the pictures? He looks like he would be some good help. You wouldn't want to send him up here to GA for summer vacation would you?

Well before I had to take my 13yr old to ER (******* punched a wall cause he was bored ) I was able to get a few patches cut and welded in, the pics only shows the first few tacs, I finished up when I got back, then grinded and then put on the first coat of metal2metal. Just my advise, directions state 12 drops of hardener to a golf ball size, well tried that twice and could only get about 2/3 applied before it was harding. Went to 9 to 10 drops and had about 5 min to get it applied. To see pics click the link up top or in my Sig.

I the picked up the steel to fix the passenger rocker and the rollbar area's. Tried bending the bottom of the rocker myself, not gonna happen! Don't have the right tools to bend that 1/4 in! Well I did get the first coat of metal2metal(M2M) grinded and applied the second coat. More to come

I was lazy this weekend on fixing the weld patches, but between an hour grinding on Monday and tonight I put down 2 layers of primer on the patches I have fixed and now start hand sanding. Not perfect but it works for me, besides their getting covered with Gen-Right corners and rocker guards.
