I finally own a Jeep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After years and years of trying to find the right Jeep for the right price at the right time (look at my posts and you'll see my pathetic journey). I've finally procured a '78 CJ5. I'll post details and pics, if I can, later but I had to let it out. My wife's so sick of hearing about Jeeps her response was more of a "Thank god it's over" response. Of course once it's up and on the road I GUARANTEE she'll be wanting to drive it, she's just that kind of chick.
YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! I've owned several Jeeps before, but I've been on my own journey for a while so I know how you feel. Hopefully my day will come soon.

Ha! I'm rebuilding an old Cj3 and my wife has been tired of hearing about for over a year! It's only just begun!!
Congrats on getting the jeep. This is my 2nd and I surely do miss the first one.

congrats, if she's sick of it now tell her the fun has just begun. My search lasted forever as well and my wifes response was the same now she wishes all I was doing was searching.

Anything you have to put that much time and money into and it isn't on her will cause problems.
Buy her something every so often and it makes her forget.
Works like a charm.
Oh yah congrats on the Jeep purchase.

I would bet on it. My wife got pretty freaked out with all the time I was spending on it.
She recently told me that she almost actually threw up when I told her I was 'thinking' about buying a Jeep!
In the end, it was all about finding the balance between HER, work, family, jeep, other hobbies, HER, etc. I think I almost have it figured out. Yeah... right... :-)

Congrats on purchasing your CJ5!
Every time I drive my CJ7 I can't help but get a smile on my face. Hopefully
by summer (barring any problems) I will have more driving time than
wrenching time on my 7. Nothin' like a CJ! Good luck with your Jeep!
