Dana 44- Disc Brakes means its 1974-1980

74-79 are all the same, the 1980 has a slightly better castor angle.

IIRC all but the 80 have 0 degrees steering caster. They also have those hideously long steering arms and external hubs. Swapping GM/Waggie knuckles (preferebly flat tops) can solve the steering arm issue and give you internal hubs.

Not sure of the axle width.. 58-59 inches or so?

Not an outrageous price, but I bought a complete Scout with the engine siezed for $200. Grabbbed the axles and traded the rest in at the junkyard.
