Cool How to tune a 258 ?

No timing light, little idea what the hell im doing other than shifting the delay of piston firing... but lots of guts and willingness to try and do it myself.

How ? Whats the easy way ?

Carter bbd, runs like a dead dog. And often won't open the air inlet on starting... meaning i have to jump out jam a pul tie in the hole in the inlet so it stays open and then start her... wait till she evens out 20-30 seconds and remove the tie ! NIIIce.... but a pain in the but when you are going to get the beers and have to do it before and at the shop... so i leave her running ! arggggghhh

There is a site online somewhere that tells you how ot do the timing without a timing light...I don't know where though so I can't be that much help...Another thing, have you done the Carter BBD fix thats on http://www.off-road.com/jeep/tech/en...r.html...might help with cleaning out that hole.

why don't you just bite the bullet and buy a weber?

Found a 85 CJ7 tub in good shape with
minimal rust. The resto continues....
