Hey Man,

Its all good

Work looks like it is going to be crazy this week, tomorrow I am in bklyn again. Man I love the cold weather $$$

I figured I would pop in and say hi. If you need a hand let me know I have a good mig welder as well as a DC stick welder if you need to make parts up and or modify. I also have an extra Dana 35 if you want to swap out

Glad to hear work is picking up, I have been swamped at my job. I am not sure about the Dana 35, I would need to do a little research about fitment and overall strengh compared to the amc 20. I was thinking about welding the axle tubes on the 20, maybe a homemade truss, one piece axles and a nice differential cover. Im having some work done on the frame and tub now and hope to have it back by saturday. I will be around on Sunday so I will call you or stop by to check out your new project.

I scored a mint yj winshield frame today with a crack but it is just what I was looking for. The frame will work with the rollbar and should bolt up with a few minor mods.

I'm running a YJ windshield frame on my CJ tub as well. Also running the family style roll bar. I want to have 3point seat belts in back because of my daughter.

Hey Vert,

How goes it with the frame work? I got some welding done myself yesterday on my frame. A 1/4" rust spot turned into a 6" hole

I scored another win with the purchase of a fiberglass hood off of ebay for $50. It does have one small area that needs attention but it should be no problem.

I also got the frame back with the new rear crossmember and body perches welded on. I wire wheeled it and hit it with marine clean so far and hope to have it painted with por15 buy Sunday night.

Here are some other pics of the old chassis waiting to be disassembled, the clean motor and my makeshift workbench where I have been doing some painting.

You sure are making great progress. The frame is looking great too. Hey you seem to have a nack for finding good buys, maybe I ought to have you do my CJ parts shopping for me.

I find great deals on parts as well, I paid a little to much for my CJ but I had to have one again. I'm a Craigslist and eBay junkie.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Here are some pics after my cousin and I welded in some small frame patches and got the first coat of Por 15 on it.
Needless to say I am excited to be making progress
