How can I tell how much lift my jeep does or doesn't have?

Ok guys, sorry if this seems stupid but ya got a newbie here that is down with the sickness. I bought an 84 Jeep CJ7 recently and it has had some mods already made to it including a chevy 350 TBI and 5 speed tranny which I am not able to identify yet. Also the PO claimed it doesn't have a lift, which I'm not so sure about because it currently has 33x12.50's under it and I was kinda under the impression that you could not put those under a stock CJ...

So I'm just looking for info as to what I need to look for on this thing or I need to know what the hieght was for stock cj's measured to some refrence point on the jeep...

Any help would be aprreciated.

post the links to some pictures and i'm sure someone will chime in with approximately what amount of lift you have. if you have 33's and they're close to rubbing, you might have 2.5 inches of lift.
