to me, it looks like it was flopped on its side.

measure the tub from front to back at different points and compare readings to the opposite side.
also measure corner to corner(x pattern) to check the tub for square as well as the tailgate opening.

check the floor pan and firewall for wrinkles or creases.

if this is the case,you will need to have the tub pulled straight.
you may be able to rent a hydraulic ram and do it yourself.
