On a '77 it's toward the front of the left inner fender. (Right about where the red with the white trace wire comes out of the loom. The '78 MAY be different, but I doubt it. (It would be the same color at the horn relay. My relay also has a yellow and a black wire [possibly with a trace?])

I'd rather be lost on the trails than found at home!

Ok , so when I push the horn button I can hear the horn relay clicking , I then go and test the terminals and the 14 gauge solid red is hot all the time , then checking the brow with white stripe when pushing the horn button the test light goes out and solid when not being pushed . The red with a white strip which should go to the horn does not light up when the button is pressed. I did also try another relay and had the same results ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank-you.

It turned out to be a bad horn relay.

For those of us with these fender skirt mounted horns on CJ's a prank I read goes like this, as the wiring for the left turn signal is in such close proximity to the horn wiring run a spliced wire from the turn signal wire to the horn power lug............

The parts shop that stocks part for Skylab II will not have parts for our year/model of Jeep
We cannot accurately judge the trajectory of a speeding critter (cat, dog, sasquatch)
Record heat waves and floods only occur when we visit that area
