high performance fuel pumps

What kind of high performance fuel pumps do yall have on your straight 6's? Thanks

I'm pretty sure unless your running a fuel injected system a stock manual pump will deliver enough fuel to a whatever you do to you 258. Most of the time it delivers too much. That's the reason for the bypass fuel filter.

If your pump delivers more than about 6psi then even with the 3 way fuel filter and tank return you are capable of overwhelming the carb's inlet valve.

The standard mechanical pump is well up to the job, especially with the filter fitted.

Some members fit strong electric pumps but after a few feet then install fuel pressure regulators. Seems a bit of a waste to me.

Puthijeep has an electric pump, it is made by Denso and goes clunk, clunk, clunk. It must have cost $10.
