Here is my 1985 Jeep CJ7 Laredo

I wanted to introduce you guys to my jeep CJ I bought a couple of months ago. It is all original except the exterior paint and decals. It has T176..Straight 6 with 57,000 original miles on it as I bought it from the Original owner. I took the hardtop off for the first time today and wow what a fun day it has been! So here she is. I have a feeling she'll be in the family for some time! My next move is to install the complete decal set I got from Phoenix Graphix for the 85 Laredo package.

thanks everyone. I plan to keep this jeep completely Stock! The only thing I'm looking to add are the original Marchal 850 driving lights on the front bumper. I do have the original carpet kit but I took all that out and cleaned the floor and added mats. It has hard doors and hardtop and everything works on this Jeep! The original owner bought it in 1984 and drove it as a DD for 40,000 miles, he gave it to his brother for the next 20 years under the promise that if he wanted to sell it he'd have to give it back. That is where it must've been used rarely because it only has 57,000 on it now. I looked for a year and a half for this kind of jeep. I had to get the T176 a new bearing kit and replaced the clutch..also a new water pump and battery. It has the original spare and cover on it and I just replaced the tires which had been on it for 21 years.
I told the kid putting the new A/T's on that those tires are probably older than he is..
I'll get more pics as I can to add to this thread. Really appreciate all the nice things you've said as I have learned so much here and there are SO many nice jeeps here!

I agree, and after you install the OEM type decals, it will be even better.
I think one of the biggest mistakes made are people who buy original cars and Jeeps and start hacking them up and modifying them from their original looks and features.

Please don't be one of those type of people. You'll thank yourself later on in life.

Pulled the seats out and used a shoe shine kit on them..

Pulled the backseat out to do the same..This tub was coated underneath with Rust Inhibitor right from the dealership..so rust is hard to find on this one..lucky

Wow. I think that Jeep is in better shape than my diecast version!

Keep the pics coming - would love to see it with the stickers, etc.

One of the cleaner originals I've seen. You scored strong.

I, too, am curious what you paid for it, but I understand if you'd prefer not to say.

I'd get a bikini for it, so the little guy doesn't sunburn his dome.

It came with the original Whitco Bikini Top and I have it...but I looked and there is no windshield channel bracket..does anyone know if I need to get an original one or will bestop suffice? I need to make sure it won't interfere with putting the hardtop back on.
