helping a friend

my friend has a '71 cj and was wondering if there is a way to shift into ust front wheel drive, I have no clue what transfer case he has but he has 3 shifters, a long one (his 3 speed) a medium sized one and a reall short stubby one
thanks for your help as I am not familiar ith CJ's

not unless you snap a u-joint, then you won't have much of a choice but to run fwd, what do you want with fwd anyway?
