Help!!! What Color should i paint my hardtop to match this jeep

Looking for suggestions and pics to see which (out of the 100's of tans) color would best match up with my jeep color Chestnut brown metallic. I believe the interior color is nutmeg. Have already painted it once a factory amc beige color but it is much too light. Color codes, Names, and pics would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure anyone here has actually ever posted paint names/codes for the factory HT colors???

and just a heads up, it is VERY hard to get an accurate color reference fom a pic, as there are So many variances in light, film, exposure, etc.

Neat rig!!! Looks great! I have an '80 that is close to that color, from the factory the top was white...

My YJ was that color with spice or nutmeg interior and my hardtop was black. I thought it was pretty sharp.

I was going to say black, but dwloop's looks really nice with the white top.

Hey great idea... I would love to see some photoshop trickery... black, nutmeg, tan. That would really help.

Your Bikini top is tan. I think the hard top would look great painted the same color.

I know this is an old thread but to the OP, was that your factory color? Where did you get it done?

i'd go black. it goes with everything..

There is a "hammered" medium tan that i ran accross when i was sampling colors for mine that might look good. it kind of had the little flakes in it of black and brown and lighter tan. I think i got it at lowes.

1982 CJ-7 2003 4.3 chevy vortec, 4L60E, Clocked Dana 300 35 x 12.5 x 15 KM2 on Cragar 399's. Vanco Brake Booster. Power steering conversion. Warn front and rear bumpers with swing away. Moser 1 piece rears. Rear OX.

According to what my wife says, in the world of fashion black is the new brown, or something like that (it seems to change every time she buys a new pair of shoes).

I agree with the others--brown will be difficult to match. Black goes with everything (although it will be hotter in the summer than Nutmeg or White).
