help with steering column

Hey, got a new turn signal for my jeep, the old one was broken. I took off the steering wheel, once I borrowed a steering wheel puller, then little by little got the rest of it undone until I finally got the old one out. But now, I've got everything set up, but I can't get the ignition pieces to go back together right no matter what I do it seems. Is there a trick to it or should I take it to a shop? Any help appreciated
