HELP!! rear hatch won't open...

[SIZE="2"]Hi

I'm really stuck here. My rear hatch won't open and I was hoping someone could help me with getting it open and repairing it. It feels like the handle is not engaging the latch...

you should be able to do it from the inside. pull on the cables running from the center to where it actually latches at the corner of the hatch
