Help - I need a measurement on a CJ

I'm looking for a measurement on a stock shackle (front and rear) on a CJ5/7. I have a 1978 and the measurement needs to be the distance between eyeholes on the shackles (upper and lower holes). I'm trying to figure out how much shackle the PO put in my CJ5. Its a V8 if that makes a difference. Thanks.

And its the same front and back? I have 4-3/4 in the front and 6-1/2 in the back. The Jeep sits level. It was my assumption that the springs were stock.

Yes, front and back are the same in stock form.

Shackle lifts are the cheap and lazy way to run bigger tires. The problem is, longer shackles on the front reduces the caster angle, causing squirrelly handling, unless other modifications are made They also reduce approach angles on obstacles.

Generally speaking, anything over 4" is not advised on a CJ.
