I suggest you start with what offset your stock wheels are/were. Use this chart as a guide https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html#backspace to figure out where you need to be with the new wheel offset. You got what sounds like the right wheel size. You've got what appears to be about 4" of backspacing, a little too much.

soooo what I'm getting outta this is

#1 i should not rely on discount to help me pick out wheels and tires.... (sry guys my bad) also i should have reworded the term "screwing me" from the title of this thread to i need help finding the right wheel lol.

#2 adjust my wheel stops. but that's not gonna help the back tires form rubbing on the frame under flex....

#3 BUY wheel spacers and that will fix all my problems

#4 NO ONE has an opinion on what wheel i can run that has a larger -offset/ smaller backspacing

so one last time.... does anyone have a wheel suggestion for a wheel that has " serious offset"?

You'll be hard pressed to find any wheels with less than 3.5" of back spacing. That's only 1/2 of clearance from what you have.
I run 35x12.50 tires on narrow track axles with 1.5" spacers and don't have any rubbing issues.

I've got 10.5's and I always have to do 3pt turns on the average street, unless I pop the curb on both sides.

My Scrambler will out turn most shorter CJs, It turns great, but I'm running custom Dana 44s that are 58" wide. That gives me plenty of clearance to turn and not hit the springs.

you need to face the fact that the tire and wheel combo you have can and will fit almost everyone's CJ. The fact that they don't fit yours is no one else's fault. In light of the easy fixes that everyone has given you, you need to just put on your Big Boy Pants, contact a Moderator and ask him to modify your Post title to keep you from sounding like a .
Trying to stay cool here but I personally know the store in San Marcos and the manager and I'm calling BS on that statement.
Finally, advice and help are more easily given if you fill out your profile......

+1 vote to change title or delete post.

We're too quick to knock vendors and not quick enough to give them credit.

I ALWAYS buy my tires from Discount Tire, and whenever I buy anything larger than stock, they make sure to explicitly tell me they are not responsible if I have problems..

I aired down to far this weekend and busted a bead. It was full of mud they cleaned it balanced it and put it back on for no charge.

Edit: I have not purchased anything from them but I will when I need tires.
