The rig looks pretty good. Interior is straight, engine bay looks complete, and the heater seems to have all the pieces. New tailpipe? Given it isn't rotted or has a hole in the side of the block, I would think 1500 would be a pretty good price. Of course, 750 would be a lot better!
Your probably looking at replacing the metal roof with a lighter soft top (not necessary, but boy do they drive better!), rebuilding the steering and brakes (upgrading would be better), getting the engine running, replacing the fluids, greasing everything, and probably replacing some seals. Something to think about when your making an offer......

id start off by asking him what he wants. youll know whats going on from that point. if he says $3000.00 then you know hes a idiot and thinks he has a gold mine. if he says $1000.00 then your good. remember your gong to put money in it and a lot of money. brakes, seals, gas line, tune up, battery, tires and so on and so on. before you know it youll have $3000.00 in it and what can you get in your area for $3000.00.
