Help

I recently bought a 1978 cj7 with 3 speed t150 it has the 304 but second gear won't hold unless you physically hold it in. I would like to get first gear down a little lower but can you guys give me some suggestions like what a t18 swap entails.

T18 swap entails a shorter bell housing, and a shorter ouput shaft on the T18. I found a bell on fleabay for~ $100 and a shaft at Novaks I believe. You will also need a tranny to Xfer case adapter. The driveline will have to be adjusted for length as well.

Or you could rebuild the tranny you have now.

No but you can get a Teralow kit http://www.offroaders.com/directory/...ow-dana-20.htm or http://www.amazon.com/Advance-Adapte.../dp/B000FQ22S2

They say money can't buy happiness but it can buy Jeep parts...and Jeep parts make me really Happy.

A t18 swap and a Teralow will be the same

Money by the time your are done. Driveshafts have to be changed with the t18 so that adds $400-500 right there

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.
