Hello All!

Hey guys! I recently started my very first Jeep resto, and this poor thing has seen its better days. It appears to be a Levi's Renegade, or whats left of one. I hope to have it drivable before the end of the summer and just go from there!

Not bad for $600 I think!

I'll probably bug the crap out of some of yall before its all said and done, so I'll apologize in advance. The engine and electrical work I have covered no problem, but the rest...well...we'll see.

Welcome to JF! Looks like from your picture you have a solid basis for restoration. God bless.

It should be an interesting project thats for sure! I bought it as a basket case...I know it hasn't been tagged since 1999 and judging by the literal rats nest on top of the intake I'll assume it hasn't run since then either. Somebody has started parting it out and evidently stopped. I've pulled the motor halfway apart and the bearings are in good shape and its not locked up, so once I get all the pieces in place I'll check compression and go from there.

I have to say that after having worked exclusively on Chevy-Ford-MoPar engines, the AMC is definitely a unique animal! This is my first time with one.
