Heater not working??

Ok, so my heater just stoped all the sudden and the volt meter is sitting on zero? Its NOT the motor, thats new. Its not the connection @ the motor I checked that. I think maybe it could be in the ignition? When I turn the key one click the volt meter is not reading anything- this happened same time motor died. All other acceseries work, ie. wipers, lights. Any ideas on what to look for today would be great, Thanks.

I'm sure you checked it, but just in case - did you check the fuse? There should be a relay as well but my haynes manual is lent out at the moment

Ah, relay sounds like a possibility. I'll try a new one when I get home.

Got it, it was the fuse, well kinda. corrosion on / inside fuse block. Thanks Crazyhorse6

So what I learned was the volt meter is fed by the heater circut. It has nothing to do with dash lights or wipers, ect.

I'm having the same exact problem, both were working the other day but they aren't now. Checked the fuse and its good..new blower motor in there but original voltmeter guage. Anything else it could be? -Relay, where is the relay for the heater located? Is there anything else that runs off the heater fan motor fuse besides the voltmeter? Thanks

Maybe I misunderstood. I'll point out the obvious that you shouldn't have voltage after turning the ignition one click. That just unlocks the steering column. Do you mean two clicks to "on"?

My voltmeter worked a couple days ago with 2 clicks to on.

I would say relay or the switch itself went bad. I don't recall exactly but the relay should be under the dash/drivers side?
