Does anyone know if I have to take the entire heater box out to get to where the fan is? I have the dreaded leaf in the fan it's driving me nuts!!!!

yeah youll have to take out the box. You might be able to reach it through the front grate with a stick or something.

Did you try to blow it out with a air gun? That works for me most of the time.

On an '85 ?
You can just take the air vent grill off from the passenger foot well and reach the fan. I think it's six screws but don't quote me. It has a cable attached to it but just leave it connected. You should have enough room to move it out of the way.

So, that is why all of sudden by blower started making noise. It sounds like a piece of paper or something, but that does make since that it is a leaf since I park under a tree. Wow, this forum sure is informative.
Thanks,
Larry
