Well another weekend went by with no work done on the Jeep, so last night I took some time to finish masking off the tub, and then shot some primer on the drivers side. By tomorrow, I should have the rest of the body in primer, and I should be shooting color Thursday, and finishing up the paint Friday. Then it's all final assembly from there, and with a 3 day weekend coming up, I should be able to put a big dent in the to do list!

All I got left to do with the motor is set the timing, install my valve cover gaskets, and install the fan, and wire up the alternator, and it should be ready to run. Then I gotta get the brakes bled, put some tail pipes on the new Magnaflow mufflers, install the seats, finish up the carpet, install the shifter boots, put the dash together, wire up all my accessories, put some seatbelts in it, put the rock sliders on, put the rear bumper on, and install my new steering wheel, and fender flares. And then after 3 long years, it will be DONE!

I know I know. Heck this month was my finish goal..... well my second finish goal. Didn't expect the body to take a year by itself!

Yeah, this month last year was my finish goal, until I decided to start over from scratch! And to think, it all started with a broken pinion bearing!

Thanks! Gonna lay down the rest of the clear tonight and finally get all the masking ripped of so I can see it! Tomorrow, windshield will go back on, along with fender flares and seats. Maybe bleed the brakes Sunday, put some fluids in the motor, and see if she will fire up. I got my fingers crossed!

You probably already know, but take it easy unmasking it. I was so excited to unmask mine that I got in too big of a hurry and in one place on a corner it pulled a small spot of paint off. You may want to let it set in the sun for a day and cure before you put the flares back on too. Some of the stuff I put on too soon wanted to like leave an impression in the clear. I can't wait to see some more pictures!

Oh yeah, hasselback, is that clear the bomb or what? It's like to paint what cocaine is to a drug addict.
