You're coming down the home stretch now. Looks good.
I remember seeing undercoating remover in a spray can somewhere, maybe Eastwood. I'll be getting myself a couple cans!

I finally got a whole weekend to work on the jeep this weekend, so it should be pretty productive. I'm starting to picture the finished product finally. I'm thinkin it should turn out something like this!

Gas tank and all fuel lines are in, sender wires are ran, and all the brake lines are hooked up.

Finally got an hour to go play in the garage tonight. So I decided to bolt in the drivers side exhaust. I had to take my newly made motor mount out to get the header in, because someone forgot to check that clearance before they welded up the mount! So i just have that side of the motor propped up temporary while I fab up a new mount.

It's getting there.

Are you using any type of heat/sound deadener on the underside of the tub?

Planning on using Herculiner on the underside. Just gotta scrape off the old rubberized undercoating first. I dont think that will be too hard either, because I grabbed the tub underneath the firewall to lift it the other day, and some of the undercoating came off on my fingers. I read another thread on removing this stuff, and it sounds like WD40 eats right through it. So I'll do that, and what doesn't scrape off easily, I'll go over. Thats on my to-do list this weekend, as well as a trip to the local junkyard. I'm looking for some nice black leather seats, a rearview mirror with map lights, and one of them retractable underhood lights that Chevy put in the mid 90's pickup trucks, as well as a few other odds and ends.

Looks great the only thing I see that may cause issues later down the road is the way the lines are run around the top of the shock is there enough room to pull it out and off the bolt or if god forbid that shock shaft breaks on the trail would it tear those lines up.

They say money can't buy happiness but it can buy Jeep parts...and Jeep parts make me really Happy.

I plan on Herculiner also. Hopefully it helps some with the heat I get coming up through the floor when I'm sitting in traffic. With the road noise, it sure should be better than nothing.

I thought about that when I was running the lines, and left plenty of room to get the shock off, and to get a wrench in there from underneath.

I did the inside of the tub with Herculiner, and it seems to be pretty tough. Wish I would of done that underneath the first time!. I'm tempted to just touch up the bad spots with new undercoating though to save time. I absolutely hate to cut corners, but I have a new found sense of urgency to get this thing done by spring, as I have an appointment with a spinal surgeon on Tuesday. If he decides to cut me open, that's going to put a halt to my Jeep time for quite a while, and then I probably wont get to drive this thing for yet another year! And I just cant have that!

You may have read that on my build thread. However, I first heated it with a propane torch and scraped the heavy stuff off with a putty knife. Then the remnants wiped off easily with some WD-40. I never tried spraying the heavy stuff from the start so it may / may not work. Eastwood does make some spray stuff specifically for removing undercoating but I never tried that.
