Hardtop Dome Light Wiring

I have found a CJ hardtop but haven't looked at it yet. The seller said that it has the dome light but no wiring. Can someone either post a pic or describe how the dome light is wired?

Thanks in advance,

Just a plug. If you look in the back drivers corner of your Jeep, the plug should be there. It works off of your headlight switch; you turn the knob to the left and it turns on your underdash/ courtesy lights and the hardtop light.

If your cj never had a hard top on it, that harness will not be pluged in. Follow the wires from the back to the front near the e-brake pedal, if its plugged in you're ready to go if not, locate the other end and plug it in.
If the jeep came with a factory soft top they left them unplugged.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't have the wiring, but I don't think it will be to tough to wire it into the interior light switch.

My 85 was a factory soft top and it had the plug....I thought they all had them.

What flavor of CJ do you have then? All the ones I have looked at had the extra orange and black wires running to the back tub corner inside the harness. You might have to pull open the harness to find them.
