Here's what the setup with the manifold hole looks like. I'm guessing I need to run a flexible metal tube from the bottom hole (manifold) to the middle hole just under the intake? How can I test to see if the flaps in the intake are working?

Also, I see I'm missing a tube going to the grill from the top opening in this photo.

If the TAC is hooked up and operating correctly, the flap will be closed when you start the engine cold. This causes the engine to draw heated air from the heat stove. As the air inside the breather housing warms, the TVS switch opens, causing vacuum to open the snorkel flap and allow fresh air in.
