Hacked to bits CJs! no stockers

Lets have a look at some CJs that are no longer stock. Tell us why you like your CJ and what you have done or maybe what you would have done different. Even stock looking CJs, maybe a Ford or Chevy engine swap? Upgraded power stuff like brakes and steering?
Post lots of pics.

Cheers!

WSS

Where to start. As far as I know the transmission is original, the rear axle (housing) is original, the grill and dash are original, and the steering column.
Forgot about the front bumper (I think).

Fiberglass tub, hood and fenders.
Frame from a 80's CJ. (Hassleback's old frame)
SOA
YJ springs.
YJ (or is it TJ??) power brakes.
Chevy Blazer front brake hoses. F250 rear brake hoses.
TJ(?) rear bumper.
Custom shocks.
J10 steering.
Dana 18 transfer case.
Roll cage from who knows what.???
Chevy Cavalier seats.
Grand Cherokee front driveshaft for my rear driveshaft.
Commando driveshaft on the front.
Wheels from an old Dodge.
Exhaust I made from an old exhaust a co-worker replaced and was throwing out.
13" Minivan rear wiper blades.

It's definately a true "Frankenjeep". It's also a semi daily driver weather permitting. I average about 200 miles a week on it, with only a bikini top, wind jammer, and soft doors in the winter.

Here it in in it's winter gear. When it get's really cold, I Gorilla Tape up the top to keep warm. LOL

This is the only picture I have on my phone. YJ tub, locked toyota axles plus most of the usual retrofit upgrades (f250 towers, mc2100, H1 steering, etc) Frame/engine/trans/tcase are original as are front fenders and tailgate.....for now. Rebuilt 4.2 short block, 4.0 head w/mpfi and ax15 are waiting to go in. Next year plan is too add 10" to the frame and wheelbase to mimic a bobbed scrambler. If I were to do it over again I'd: A) 4 link it w/coil overs, and B) finish it BEfORE I had kids and got married!

'84 CJ-17: 17" stretch, locked Toy axles, 5.5" lift, FI, AX15, D300 w/twin sticks, boatsides & junk.

Well, here's a picture of mine and what it looks like with regular/street tires
Doesn't look like much, which is why/how I like it. The frame is original. Front is a WT D30 with all chromoly axles. Rear is a DTS built 9". 430'ish ci SBC motor with a single plate kit, that runs on E85. Trans is a complete unit from TCI, and the converter is a custom built Coan unit. Springs were custom made by a company in Grand Rapids, Mi. and the shocks were made by another company in Mi. This Jeep isn't what most folks on here are into, but there isn't much here that hasn't been modified, and a lot of it had to be custom done because most people/places don't modify a CJ to this fashion, and try to keep a "sleeper" look.
What I would change.....I would have started with a CJ7 for a longer wheelbase, and went the turbo or Procharger route and not had to mess with filling/changing bottles all the time. So while I tried to make it look as low key on the outside as possible, if you see me at the dunes it will have paddles, but you won't expect it to do this...

I can pop a wheelie in mine, too.

What I'd do over....paint the wheels a different color.

A friend gave me the rock rails, they came off a Samari.

Edit, the rear axle has been set back about 4", and I installed a power steering cooler.

I did that for the Toys For Tots run at Rock Run park last year, they were calling for a high of about 40*. I had a lot of people come up and ask me who made the neat half cab top. It wasn't until I told them and they looked closer that they ever knew it was duct tape.
