Grill welt on 1979 cj5?

I recently bought a 79 cj5 and I'm trying to piece a few parts and pieces together. I noticed that there is nothing between the top of my grill and the bottom of the fiberglass hood. I assumed that there should be some welting there so I began to search for some to buy. My searching, though, only returns results for welting for older years (pre-76). My question is, did a 79 have welt or something else there? And if it had welt, was it the same size as the older CJ's?

There were rubber bumpers, not welting. I believe that the last year of welting was '71 as my 72 and 75 have rubber bumpers. My 63 has welting.

Not for 1979. It should have the standard rubber hood bumpers, four each, along the top of the grill.

Thanks a lot...now is there a technical name for these bumpers or do I just use the ones that would fit a modern day vehicle?
