Grandpas jeep

Just pulled granpas jeep out of a barn.im trying to find info on it. was produced by kiaser in oct 69. has renegade 1 stripes ,77000 original miles. it has 3 metal tags from 3 different baja races in 1970-72.my uncle bought early not sure if there was any other owners till he gave it to grandpa.dont think so. it is missing a few pieces over the years as it sat. wiper assy.which is the one from below the windshield, the heater assy.and the stock seats. Also the ragt op wa tossed.Top should be easy. So if anyone can help me with the significance of the renegade 1 id appreiate it . also the missing pieces ould be nice. it has no cancer at all and is totally stock wit the excepction of the power steering. i was wondering if theres a way to check on yhose Baja races,it looks to clean to have ran in it .could it have been there as a promo for jeep? thanks for any help.

You can link them from an outside source such as Tinypic.com or Photobucket.com.

Upload the pics in some kind of an album, like Flickr, Tinypic or whatever, keep posting till you get the "postcard" symbol above the reactionfield. You can use this option as soon as you see it.

We'dd love to see pics of it. Hopefully its another piece of (family)history been preserved!

2008 Jeep Liberty KK W/Selec Trac II, ADL Skid Plate Group, 245/70/16 All Terrain Destinations, VisionX LED Floodlights. It's a real jeep. Don't like it? Wait let me check. Yep, still a real jeep.

Do a search.
use key words such as SCORE, baja 1000, mint 400, vintage, racers, race, etc...
There is a lot of vintage u tube clips, articles, etc out there.
You're going to see a lot of cool names like Eddie Bauer and Malcolm Smith.
It was a great time in the US........

Oh yes Pics are very important!! I too am the proud owner of a '70 Renegade 1. I can help with restoration details from mine. I strongly recommend checking out earlycj5.net for R1 info. What color is yours?
