got the new CJ home today

Drove 330 total miles to go get my new CJ today. It was smooth sailing all the way. The Jeep is super solid with no rust to speak of. The body is kind of banged up, but I can deal with that.

It has a 258 6 cyl and a t176 trans. Dana 30 front a dana 44 rear. 4 inch pro comp lift, detroit EZ locker and 3.73 gears

now to start fixing stuff

The guy in the picture is my Grandpa, he furnished the truck and trailer, as well as the usual long ride stories. Cant think of anyone else i would have rather had riding shotgun.

He bought it new in 1993 and I have a picture of me sitting on the hood shortly after (i was 3 at the time). I have ridden and driven many miles in it and have a lot of great memories.

As for the frame, it really is rock solid, as is the whole jeep. Just a little bent up here and there.

Very nice. Must be Jeep road trip week. I just went to Cincinnati OH to pick one up. 700 miles back to the Beach in NC. Good Luck. Enjoy it.

Thats really cool man! Not only did you score a new toy but you got to hang with your grandpa for a few hours and talk about whatever comes up. You're a lucky guy! I miss my dad and those conversations.
