I swapped my AR15 for a 83 CJ7 its all stock w/ 258 4 speed and dana 300 stock rims and some little tires! It has the hard top wich was a plus for me. The thing runs and drives great, the only bad thing is the tub is pretty rusty wich dosn't bother me too much as I don't mind replacing panels and some body work. I like the fact that I can get in and out of it a whole lot easier as im 6'4" I'm not sure what im gonna do with the 5 now. Im thinking that i'll save it and make it a father son project, as my boy is now 13 and really likes Jeeps.

CJ's are great. I have a TJ and CJ. TJ is great looking, CJ is great working!!
Here's a link to a pic of mine due to the fact I can't post pics yet.
Wow...someone else on here that's I'm guessing has heard of Buies Creek (I've spent the last 2.5 years at CU)

CONGRATS! ... Keep them both!
First thing I would do is a GROUNDING upgrade. Most folks do not realize that RUST is initially started from bad grounding. In other words, you don't get rust if anything metal is properly grounded. So, do the GROUND upgrade that "JeepHammer" has written about on here and any others that you feel could use revitalization. It will make your new CJ a lot more enjoyable. :grin2:
