A good Jeep day....

This could of gone under "What did you do today", but I'm just so dern happy right now I'm gigglin' like a school-girl

My CJ hasn't been road worthy in about 2.5 years - brakes, steering, rust, etc....

I just picked it up from the shop in south Jersey where she got new 4.11 gears, some rust repair and a few other goodies. Lots of work left to be done (Raptor liner, tire carrier, and roll cage are next), but I can't tell you how good it felt to be cruisin up the Jersey turnpike (well that wasn't the good part - I can't stand these yankee a-holes....{I'm from Virginia - just visiting NY}...).. but I digest....

Not 10 minutes into my journey home (about a 2 hour drive) I see a wrangler heading my way.

I wave.

He waves back.

*sniff* It was beautiful - my first Jeep wave in over 2 years....

Just wanted to share my joy with those that get it....

Pete

I wuz trying to be funny. Oh well.

You know - I almost forgot the Jeep wave! (not reeeally). As the wrangler headed towards me - it was like remembering something from long ago - almost missed the window of opportunity!

I drove a YJ in high school, and sold it shortly after. A few months ago I bought a CJ---I had the same feeling getting the jeep wave in that thing!!

Damn it feels good to be a jeep owner!

Too funny... You know, I thought people in N.C. were friendly? Let me tell you something about road-rage.. driving to work everyday straight through the Bronx, then Manhattan, then Brooklyn... I 've seen S&*t that you wouldn't believe.

I saw a guy playing a flute while driving up the winding Saw Mill Parkway.

A flute.

A freakin flute.... with both hands... knees on the steering wheel. I s&*t you not. Craziest damn thing i've ever seen.

And here's your wave right back bud:

(almost forgot again!)

It's a good feeling gett'n back in the saddle again isn't it GP? I was jeepless for a year and when I got the latest on the road and started getting "the wave" again, I realized just how much I missed it! Happy motorin'!
