Oh yeah, I forgot to put that in there!
I bought it for $1050 after some serious haggling. Got the guy down from his original $2,000. I gave him the $$, got the title, got it signed over to me, and left the Jeep there, as my time got cut too short and I needed to head home, and flat towing it was going to take too long. I am going back up either tomorrow or monday morning to get it with my trailer. I know, seems kinda dumb, but the guy seemed pretty trustworthy and understands that I will severely harm him if anything else happens to the Jeep while it is there.

Sweet deal man.

You have the start of a very nice rig and you STOLE it for that kind of money.

Looks like a good deal, the rear is probably worth most of what you paid for the whole Jeep.

So now the question of the hour is, considering the tire size with the current lift, do I go bigger and "fill in" the lift, or do I get rid of some lift in order to fit the tires a little better. I have a set of 38.5x14.50 TSL SX's, and a set of 33x12.50 ProComp Xterrains. I can go either way. What would you guys say? I am leaning more towards going smaller and leaving my other 79 as the big Jeep.

Good for you! I am glad you didn't pay 2000 or even 1500!

1050

Good Job!

Affirmattive. The other thread will serve as my "build thread" of the minor freshening I will do to get it road worthy. Thankfully all of the major stuff is already done.
