Is this as good as a deal as I am thinking?!

So I just came across this for sale ad:

"I have a 79 cj7 for sale. It has a in-line six. with after market intake and carb. it has a twin stick dana 300 transfer case, with a low rang kit. It has a 4 speed manual trans[says it is out of an 81 CJ]. It has a 4 1/2 lift. with 35 13:50 baha claws it has a currie 9in rear axle. It has 4:10 gears. The tie rodes are 1 1/2in steal made by spider customes. The motor runs perfect. I just put a brand new stage 2 duel fricton center force clutch. in it. It has new rear main seal, oil pan gasket. The inside has been coated with por 15."

Guy is willing to take $1500 over the phone, could probably get him down to $1K-$1200 in person depending on the actual condition of the Jeep. Says the body has a little surface rust around the hinges and other spots, but the frame is very solid and powder coated, etc. etc. Said he paid $5K last year for the Jeep but is in a pinch and needs the cash ASAP.
Needs a new wiring harness, new rear brake lines and a new LR tail light. Whadda you guys think? Is it worth the fight with my wife that will ensue (actually has already started just upon me mentioning bringing another Jeep home), or should I just leave it be cause it isn't as great a deal as what I am thinking?
Sorry, no pics yet. He is supposed to send them to me tonight, and I will have to travel a little bit on Monday to pick it up if I get it.

Where is it and what's his phone number.

I'll call him and figure out if it's worth the $1500 or not........hooking up trailer as we speak.

You don't want to be fighting with your wife.

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured! I am leaning towards dealing with the wife's anger and just getting it, or as she calls it, "another Jeep?! What do you need ANOTHER JEEP FOR?! Where will it go? You said you were going to sell the last one!"

Is it stolen? Because it sound too good to be true. Get the vin and have the title checked. It's worth the fight, tell your wife it's for her.

Sadly, she hates Jeeps. I fear I have done it to her. We would get fines from the HOA, neighbors yelling at us, etc. We made an agreement that no more than one Jeep at the house at a time, and right now I have one project Jeep, a BMW we don't drive, her Expedition and my police car. I kinda agree that there is nowhere to put it, but I really can't pass this up in good conscience! I am sure she will be ok...... I may not be, but she will!

if a legit deal, negotiate a little and factor in cost for a small storage unit into the deal and put an unused car in there for at least the winter! something tells me you'd have the resouces to check vin and title for accuracy!

It's an investment, spring is just around the corner, sounds like you can make a few $K just turning it. If you don't take it, send me the contact info, I'm in Atlanta. I'll fight my wife over it.

The wife gave me the go ahead, although it is now going to cost me ANOTHER trip to Disney World this year. This damn thing better be worth it! I also have to try to sell the BMW. Anybody want a good deal on a BMW 740iL?! I will make you a deal you can't refuse!
