Hey Moc & Thumper. I'm swapping the frame on my '79 Renegade. Loden Green, code 7L. I LOVE my Jeep. Since H.S. Check me it out in my profile gallery from '84 w/my Miami Vice tie on! (Lady Killa!)
I hate the green color. Had a chance to save a bundle on a brand new Grand Cherokee Limited, but it was green, so no deal! I was gonna go w/Tangelo Orange. Maybe a cool silver/gray to give it a sinister/industrial look. EVERYBODY wants me to do it green again. My old H.S. buds down to my 7 yo. Of course the stripes are the 81-ish style? Of course I'm gonna cave and do green. In the "lets See them all section, the 1st green one is like page 26. My brother built a copy of mine from a 73 cj5, a buddy cloned it too. Now every V8 CJ in this 2 light town will be identical.
BTW I'll take an Eagle in Black, w/a matching Bandit Trans-Am!

I really like the high quality build you did with this Golden Eagle!

Also love the fact that it is rust free and still wearing the original paint/decals!

Very nice '7 for sure - one I my favorites on this entire forum!

More pics of it are always appreciated!

Here's one for you. This is me in college in 1983, getting my '69 Ford pulled out by my buddy Jimmy Haverstick's Golden Eagle.

"it was quite the pile when I got it but a good starting point". Well Sir, be very proud of yourself. Mighty fine now, for sure.
Ok, you guys are making the green grow on me. I just NEVAH saw a green CJ around before. Always felt like an odd-ball. (I just wanted to be like all the cool kids, sniffle!) But if I can get mine close to what you guys have done, I'll be very happy. Ya'll have set the bar very high!
