Golden Eagle Fever

Hey guys it seems that I have a little golden eagle fever recently and have been doing some searching and saving lots of pictures.

Couple of questions...

What years did CJ7 Golden Eagles run. I have see a few different answears. I have see 76-79 and also have see 77-80.
What colors did the CJ7 Golden Eagles come in? Were they white, green, and brown?

Not sure on the years but yes, green, brown and white are the only ones I have ever seen.

There is one for sale on craigslist here. Louisville, Ky. I think they want $3500.00 for it. Its a v8, auto with hardtop and warn winch and factory gold painted wheels. Looks original, has some rust but still looks solid. With some body armor it would be a good weekend warrior. Not mine, I just saw it and thought what if I didn't already have my scrambler. If you want me to have a look let me know.

You know that there's really nothing special to them and they aren't really that valuable, right? And you can buy the sticker package and put it on just about any color CJ you want, even a black CJ6?

Oh yeah.. Not looking to buy one just wanted more info on them. I am thinking when it comes times to paint next year I might go green with golden eagle stickers and keep my black rims, seats, and interior. I know they did not make them in 86 but like the sticker package. I KNOW that it's Wrong but my jeep so my choice on color and stickers. If I ever sell it, which likely will be never, not going to try to doop anyone to thinking its a factory eagle.

I think this would be sweet man, not wrong at all....just honoring some Jeep heritage....my old man had a brown 79 Golden Eagle 5 with the 304 and three speed tranny. Unfortunately he sold it before I was born and bought the 84 Renegade that I have now.
