gear carrier going to work?

I swapped in a dana 30 from a 73 cj5 in my 64 and already bought matching 4.27 gears to match my dana 44 rear. My question is do i need a new carrier for my dana 30 to put in my 4.27s?

That depends on the current gear ratio of the d30. Carrier break, I believe is 3.55. So if you have a 3.73, or 4.10 factory ratio in your d30 you're good. 3.07, 3.31, or the oddball 2.something rather...and you'll need a new carrier to go with it.

Yes 4.27 and 3.73 use the same carrier
