Hah! Just got back from hooking another mate up with his first CJ. And yes it's an 8! Yet another 85 Overlander but this ones got no lid. BUT what this one's got is the best tub I've ever seen. A little rot in the usual spot in the door hinge pillar triangle but NONE anywhere else. Floors are excellent with only a few little "drainage holes".
Everything under the hood's original like my red one right down to the jack and tools, heck this one hasn't even been nuttered.
Engine's perfect and purrs, auto's great. Good candidate for some of Jim's front spring mounts though, ones busted through the hole as they do. Easy fix!

Anyway I'm just excited about another CJ joining "the family", can't help but share. Oh yeah here's the real good bit - $2500. My mates a thief!

Nice score! One of my old rugby teammates keeps a CJ8 at his dad's ranch in Tumbarumba, NSW for tooling around the property in.

Yeah they're a nice rig for sure but soooo top heavy with the roof on, swaying all over the place. Taking the top of would be like getting a divorce, all light and breezy, fresh and easy to manage! (Just kidding, wifey!)

If I remember correctly when the sun rotated into the southern hemisphere we had a promise of more Aussie hotties than we could shake a stick at. I'm starting to believe you were only stroking us. Get out your camera and do some work!

Keep your shirt on tiger. All will come in time. I am getting absolutely hammered at work at the moment and have been for weeks. We can't seem to get weekend clear to get to our hideaway. At this rate it will be boxing day before I can share some of the loveliness that is to be enjoyed up there. Having said that I will certainly lavish you all with pictures of women in jeeps in suitable quantities. I hooked one of the lads up with a nice CJ8 last week so there'll be the perfect excuse to get his two daughters posted up too.
From what I hear they've all been getting sorted for summer too. I'm looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labour.
Thanks for remembering us down here hash.

Got down the beach yesterday arvo for some fishing (beering). The 8 I found for my friend morphed into a BBQ.
