Gauge hookup

I'm not quite sure where some hookups for the gauges are for my 304. I'm hooking up an electric oil pressure gauge and an electric water temp gauge. Where do the sender units go into the engine? Also does anyone have pics of dashes where they located gauges. I was thinking two more ontop of the two holes that are on the dash (fuel and volts).

Oil pressure sending unit is down next to the oil filter, the temp sending unit is right below you're distributor cap.
Right above you’re stereo cutout are 2 holes, those are for the oil pressure and the volt meter

i am redoing the dash in my 81 Jeep, to include rewire some things. I went from the traditional big speedo with fuel and water temp built in to electronic gauges. If you are doing the same, you may need to wire up a ground and a lead 12V to the back of these gauges. I used the leads 12V from the other gauges so they would all be ACC. I am going to use where the radio cutout is to mount two of the 4 gauges I am putting in. I will cover the hole, then cut out the 2in holes. Pics to follow....

Thanks for the locations! Has anyone run into problems where a head unit has bend the stock dash. There are no support brackets for the radio that was installed in my jeep. The radio was just clicked into the dash and hung off it.

Most Stereos come with a strap for this that bolts on the end of the unit and up to something. You can use a product called 'all round', flexible strapping with holes.

Plumbers tape will also work to support the back of the radio. Plumbers tape is a metal strip with holes that any hardware store will have.

Up here in Canada, one brand is called 'All Round'.
