Orange is great, but I am somewhat partial to the 1976 Omaha Orange...

That slate blue is one of my favorites Jeep ever came out with. I also think it would really look great on that Gaucho truck... But I might be biased because I'm an OU grad and the sight of anything resembling burnt orange makes me sick

1985 CJ7 Project
Phase One : 5.3L Vortec/4L60E, Moser axles for AMC20, Twin Stick'd Dana300 - Completed
Phase Two: Bedliner, Rollcage, Seats, BESRK Rear Bumper w/ tire swing, Soft Top, and a few other goodies - Mostly Complete
Phase Three: Waggy 44 front, Scout D44 Rear, 4.56's, ARB's (F/R) SOA with YJ Springs, 35x12.50x15 BFG MT - Not Even Close to beginning

Also a mostly rust-free 1970 Scout 800A That I'll get to start working on someday...

Oh, so I guess the original yellow is out

Whenever I build anything, paint is the absolute last step in the process, after everything has been assembled, installed, checked for fit and then removed. Maybe it's just me, but I always find a way to nick or scratch the paint if it's painted while I still have build work to do.

Yes it is, sorry. I'm not a fan of yellow. I don't really like bright colors either. Sunburst orange is probably the brightest I'll go.

Jeff, you are probably right. Knowing me, I would damage the paint somehow.

I vote for the sunburst orange. But I want to reiterate what Jeff said. Don't paint it until its done. You don't want to mess up the paint job before you can even drive it.

Sunburst orange. I think it most faithfully follows the bold color of the original while using a modern jeep color palette.

For a powertrain, there is a wrecked 05 Dodge 4x4 with a hemi, auto 78,000 miles for whole truck running for $3500 on Morgantown WV craiglist.
Not mine just offering suggestions.
