Fiberglass or Metal tops? You said they were a modular design, how do you plan on locking them together.
I see a great potential in these.

My vote would be for a 4.2 with a 4.0 HO Head and MPFI hooked to an AW4 with a D300. And I too vote a more vibrant yellow than the original Gaucho color, I've never really liked that color. I like TCPGlobal Restoration Shop #1408 Speed Yellow.

My vote (not that this has been made into a poll) Finish the Gaucho! then.........I would love to see either a CJ8 or LJ with this elevated roof "X-Panel" I think that would be really sharp. And if you made a modular CJ7 hardtop I'd be first in line to buy one...and possibly the short trailer to go with it...

ThunderbirdJunkie doesn't speak of himself unnecessarily. In that instance, it was not required to refer to himself at all

That's a nice yellow. I like the AW4 idea too.

But... I have had conversations with a company in the Jeep aftermarket business that has expressed an interested in licensing the top designs/molds/masters (if and when I build them) so they might offer them commercially. It's a long road from here to there though, so don't get your wallet out just yet. ![]()

Please do the hard top. I have been building my jeep slowly over the years and have wanted to build a factory looking half cab for it. I would love to see a how to tutorial on this. I couldn't think of a better guy to do it either.
I finally registered on this site but have been in the background the entire way through your build. I can't praise you enough on the excellent work you do building, as well as walking all of us through every step. A+ on everything. You have inspired countless people with the work you have done. Thanks. |

I, too, have been following this from the beginning and am in awe of your work. I can understand your dilemma of whether to finish the Gaucho or move on to a new project. That being said, if I were in your position, I would finish it. There's always time for a different project once it's complete and you may regret selling it, especially since the result exceeded your expectations. If you grow tired of working on it you can always move on to somehting else and come back to it the right time. It seems to me the only pressure you would have for completing it quickly is the pressure from us fellow forum members.
