Here's a gem in the rough. Sure, at first glance you'd think she needs a lot of work, but you're quite mistaken. This baby takes to the road like white on rice. Purrs like a kitten. The jeep has been well maintained ( blinker fluid changed every 2500 miles and the radio tuned often ) Other then a wash and wax this truck is ready for a serious cross country adventure. Load mom and kids in and hit the highway and the little lady as needed. I'm asking for best offer and I'll even include Mr.Greenjeans. Check it out, Mr.G has an italicized roll-bar. How cool is that?

Look forward to hearing from you,
Timmy

Hehe those would go great in the front yard of my parents' house in Georgia...

It is pretty painful seeing Jeeps like that, though.

he's asking too much, IMHO.

you can pick up a Jeep around here the same condition for around $3k.

I'd try to talk him down a little.

also, I'd be curious to find out if he's been running the standard blinker fluid, or a synthetic type (like Redline or Royal Purple)?

Yeah you also have to make sure the muffler bearings are in good condition as well, and you may have to replace the johnson rods.

That's only if you use that new synthetic blinker fluid..................the residue from a 5, 000 mile servicing will keep her working, and without sludge.........the old stuff had to remain in there to work, and then the blinker fluid changes........yuck!

Au contraire BLS-look at the door hinge latches! those are obviously 84-87 CJ-5's, (the only years that they used Fetzer Valves instead of the standard johnson rods common in the earlier models...)

And don't forget for COMPLETE tire security to use ALL locking lug nuts... you don't want someone to go for the gusto and end up running off with only your nuts!

Oh and don't forget to unlock the belt in your radials if its a virgin off-roader!
