With the vent plugged, your fuel pump will eventually draw a vacuum on the fuel tank. You may have some hesitation or stalling issues...

The check valves are the same as used on YJ's TJ's and XJ's. Should be available from the local parts store, dealer, or online
. The two valves should be t'd together, and be connected to the charcoal canister. The two lines from the sending unit should go to the fuel pump and the return from the fuel filter. There is no check valve in either of those lines.
