Fuel pump change with weber carb

Anyone have ideas about the return fuel line used on the stock carter installation and if it is required when using the Weber conversion with a low pressure electric fuel pump. If so would appreaciate part #'s and advice. The CJ is an 83 6cylinder. How does this effect the vapor canister?

Regard and happy jeeping

The fuel pump is the Carter 4070 rotary electric low pressure fuel pump. People have posted you can dead head this pump or use the return line. Some have said still need to use the low pressure fuel regulator 3-3.5psi some say not necessary.

I plan on upgrading to the Carter 4070 dead head and have the Holly Low Pres Regulator so will start with that combo. This pump is 5psi rated.

Summit had the best price I found on the carter pump $72.95 they also have the holley low pressure fuel regulator. I purchased my Holley FPR when I purchased the weber carb if you have not purchased your carb yet. Might also consider asking them to ship the carb with the smaller jets to save you some coin.

It is also printed there are two types of regulators dead head and flow thru.

Do a google search on the Carter 4070 Fuel Pump and you will read it all like I did in the past few days.

In addition here is a good source of info on the Weber Carbs, tune, pics, rejets, some excellent links. I had trouble with my weber and was hard finding info. So I gathered and put all in one spot.
