Fuel Line Routing

I have a 67CJ5 with a v6 225. I got some pre-bent stainless fuel lines-supply and return. The fuel pump has 2 nipples out the bottom which I assume are the supply and return. The pump is the only part of the fuel system the Jeep had on it when it became mine. Is it supposed to have a specific filter and how are the lines supposed to be routed from the tank, which I have to get pretty soon?
