Fuel Line to Gas Tank Questions
Ok, I have a new 15 gallon tank purchased from 4wd (85 CJ7). The tank with the sender unit, has a total of six nipples to connect fuel lines to. Obviously I have eliminated the two filler nipples that connect to my gas filler (where you would put in fuel).
I have concluded that the bigger nipple on the fuel sending unit has a hose that goes to my fuel pump. Now I am left with my small nipple on my sender unit and two same size nipples that come out of the side of the tank. Where do all these go to. I only have two fuel lines left under my car and three nipples. The old tank I took out (original) did not have two nipples on the side. PLEASE HELP with any pictures, neccessary fuel line sizes, etc.

SEE DIAGRAM ABOVE
Okay, SO I swapped my two fuel lines to the fuel pump. But still have no where to put the lines that come off the side of the tank. Where is my liquid check valve located? I only have one hose remaining in my old system. It was hooked into my new tank but runs to the engine compartment where it is not connected to anything. I guess most importantly where is my liquid check valve and is it possible for me not to have one. If so what do I do with the remaining to nipples off the side of my tank. |
