Fuel filler hose

I need help! I have a 78 CJ5 and need 1" fule filler hose. I stretched the wheelbase and relocated the filler from the right rear to the right side near the wheel well.

I have tried everyplace I can think of. Any suggestions? I may be forced to get two stock hoses and join them together...hoping not to have to do that!

Thanks,

Ken

Just go to Napa and ask for some 1" universal fuel line hose and get as much as you need.

Ken,
I recently had had to track some fuel hose down. I tried all the auto parts places and none of them had fuel hose larger than 5/8". I eventually found larger sizes at the local boat shop, turns out larger lines are used in marine applications all the time.

I did what you stated in your opening post, when I switched my fuel filler from the rear to the side of the tub.

I cut through the hose, perpindicular, sleeved the 2 halves, and swiveled the hose to where I wanted it. Then, I used hose clamps to secure everything.

Here are a few pics...

No problems, whatsoever.

Rich

Autozone has fuel hose. Not sure on the sizes they have. You have to ask for it because it is in the back. It's on a roll so you can get the exact size you need. Personally I see nothing wrong with splicing like in the photos and you can save some money.
