I need some quick opinions, what should I do for color with a full roll cage, I was thinking same color, painter is trying to talk me into powder coat because to paint the roll cage will cost some coin.

Nice! I know what you mean about the light hitting the paint. One of the reason's I went with a similar shade.

Love that dark green. Mine is Jeep Natural Green Pearl.

Paint the roll cage to match the body, IMO.

Powder coating cheaper than paint? Really?

That's what I said, he said about $300 for powder coat, to paint it I am waiting on a quote, he said it will use a lot of paint because a lot of it will go in the air.

I'd either match the color of the Jeep or do the same color as the bumpers. Likely I'd match the bumpers. Nobody likes painting roll cages. It's hard to cover everything. With powder coating at least you have the positive charge to draw the coating to the metal. Hack I love the color and it looks outstanding!

Hmm...can they match the body color with powder coating?

The only non-body color I'd use is black.

I'll agree with Matt. Paint it the same as the jeep. The dark green is to dark for black. My jeep will be a lime/kiwi color (much lighter green), and my cage will be black, because they offset each other. And the powder coater should be able to match the color pretty close. You might have him do some other small piece just to compare. It will be more durable powder coated. And it is amazing how much paint you waste...painting something narrow like a cage. Tub looks great.

I had mine painted the same color as the body, with the exception of the lower legs that were done in the same bedliner material as the tub.

I know it would be more expensive to paint vs. powder coat but I would paint the cage to match the body. I agree with olympicmountain, that color is too dark to powder coat the cage black. I HATE to paint tubing and such like your cage. It is a giant pita. Easy to miss spots and lots of wasted paint. Oh, and I love the color. My work truck super duty Ford is just about that color but maybe a shade lighter. The only thing I don't like About that color is that it shows dust and grime as bad as black. I live on gravel so it would never look clean.

I like the cage design also. It is built off of the original sport bar? How much head room do you have in the front?

It might be. I will have to check the paint code on it Monday. I have not seen to many rigs rolling around that color. I will be looking forward to to seeing the finished product.

One thing to think a out if your gonna be wheeling this rig. I rub my roll bar on trees occasionally so with that really nice paint might get scuffed up and wouldn't be easy to touch up
