Ford 8.8 Disc and 86 CJ Dana 44

I putting Ford 8.8 Disc brakes on my 86 Factory Dana 44 I read all that I could on this swap but know I got it almost in and the rotor is hitter the backing plate. I need your help?

I had the rotors drilled to 5 on 5 1/2 and had the center cut larger for the 86 Dana's flange. I used new studs off a Jeep TJ with disc brakes.
I ground down the axle shaft so the rotor would fit over. this is before the backing plate went on. So I know that works. but now that everything is bolted up the rotor will not go on all the way. and I used ther tera flex spacers. So I'm at a stand still.

I came up with a plan I;m gonna run 1/4" wheel spacers on the inside of the rotors. The 86 CJ7 dana 44 is not like the XJ Dana 44 hat height is a issue.
and I still hope to use the drum brakes inside the rotor.
